I throw in this cauldron a blossom white,
A verse of love song beautiful to hear,
Then add some sparking stars that throng the night,
And take the presence felt when love is near.
Cradling arms wake me,
Sweet morning breathless kisses,
Yielding at your touch.

I will be your moon,
And you can be my earth,
Bound by unseen forces
Since our galaxy’s birth,
I may cause you to howl,
Or shift your mood like tides,
But I will always be
The diamond of your skies,
It took them a solid twenty minutes to reach the peak, wending their way up snaking slopes and steps crudely hewn into the hillside. The grassy plateau atop the hill was oddly deserted; even the most intrepid tourists chased back down to the promenade by the merciless coastal breeze. Continue reading
