Wreathed in winter mists,
Enshrouded by cloudy haze,
Defiant moon shines.

A hide-and-seek moon
Flits between pools of darkness:
Nocturnal beacon;
Like a lighthouse in deep night,
It warns of shadowed danger.

Crescent moon love bite
Scars the night’s indigo skin,
Dominating view.
Framed by leafy silhouettes,
A vision in black and blue.

Moon dressed silver-white
A costume of cobweb clouds
Ghostly, eerie sight

Honeyed moon aglow
Riding the crest of the hill
Beaming in full face.

I will be your moon,
And you can be my earth,
Bound by unseen forces
Since our galaxy’s birth,
I may cause you to howl,
Or shift your mood like tides,
But I will always be
The diamond of your skies,
