Dragon

 

Hulking black beast

Dominates vulnerable skies

Underbelly aflame

With streaks of hellfire

Crimson to coral

Orange to molten gold

Draconic shapeshifter

Vast and powerful

Stalking the morning horizon

With mythical grandiosity

Bewildering sleepy eyes

On the earth below.

I am swollen with flame.

My tinder heart

Lit by a spark,

Ignited by ire,

Growing and surging

To raging fire,

Fuelled by injustice,

Petroleum lies,

Tales of abuse

Gunpowder to my blaze,

My body a pyre;
