Connected – Triple Tanka

Through our soft-lit screens

We enter a cyber world

Detached and lifeless,

In our incessant search for

Constant connectivity.

There is no escape

From the merciless clutches

Of technology;

We become mindless robots

Devoid of love and friendship.

These connections forged

With clicks and wires and networks

Cannot sustain us;

Happiness is only found

When we talk, touch, listen, live.

Fantasy – A Tanka

fantasy

Heroes and villains,

Fantasies and legends penned

From my mind to yours;

Who needs reality when

You have imagination?

Love Bite – A Tanka – #writephoto

lovebite

Crescent moon love bite

Scars the night’s indigo skin,

Dominating view.

Framed by leafy silhouettes,

A vision in black and blue.

Thursday photo prompt – Luna – #writephoto

Sue has posted some beautiful pictures recently for #writephoto but I’ve been too low on time and motivation to get round to writing the stories I have in mind! Therefore, this week, I thought it best to stick to a short and simple tanka. Thanks Sue for the lovely lunar image.
