Through our soft-lit screens
We enter a cyber world
Detached and lifeless,
In our incessant search for
Constant connectivity.
There is no escape
From the merciless clutches
Of technology;
We become mindless robots
Devoid of love and friendship.
These connections forged
With clicks and wires and networks
Cannot sustain us;
Happiness is only found
When we talk, touch, listen, live.

Excellent triple Tanka!! Now, I must tell you, many of us made connections with technology and then took it to the next step with video chats, calls, and visits. The friendship is there and deep connections because of our poetic and writing interests. Isn’t that amazing? ❤

Of course, that’s the beautiful flipside of technology 😊 It’s a love-hate relationship! 😄
