A Selection of Random Images 6

Pocket of poppies

A cluster of rubies

Amidst un-precious stems

Callously shredded

By the mower’s blades

Glinting and glistening

Jewels set in concrete

Litter aglitter

Sharp shards of carelessness

Scattered haphazardly

Threatening sentinels

Guarding the roadside

Stretching jagged and tall

A wall of stings

And barbed warnings

Dizzy moth

Lapping the train carriage

Trapped and blinded

Still holds fragile beauty

In its ghostly beige wings

Spectral figures

Eerily backlit

By an unnatural tangerine glow

Haunt the hilltop

In the witching hours.
