I will be your moon,

And you can be my earth,

Bound by unseen forces

Since our galaxy’s birth,

I may cause you to howl,

Or shift your mood like tides,

But I will always be

The diamond of your skies,

Some days I’ll wax lyrical,

Bright and freshly-faced,

On others I’ll be waning,

‘Til shadows hath displaced,

Or else I’ll be eclipsed

By jealous clouds below,

Yet though you cannot see me,

I know that you well know

That I will return, radiant,

To light your darkest night,

Forever here in orbit,

Your devoted satellite.
